Back on Track
ADAPT is a provider of Back on Track services. The Highway Traffic Act requires convicted impaired drivers to successfully complete Back on Track, Ontario's Remedial Measures Program, before their licenses can be reinstated.
To connect with this program, contact the Back on Track office at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) at 1-888-814-5831 or on the Internet at www.remedial.net to access registration, payment and other administrative services.
The Back on Track Program has three components:
An assessment that takes about one hour.
An eight hour education or a sixteen hour treatment group, depending on the assessment results.
A follow-up interview which must take place six months after finishing the education or treatment group.
NOTE: Since it can take more than 10 months to complete the program, registration for Back on Track should occur as soon as possible after receiving a licence suspension notice to avoid delays in licence reinstatement.
